So I was walking through Target with my faux-twins, when I spotted some ceramic turkeys in the clearance section. I asked the kids if they knew what turkeys say.
The Girl said "Tweet tweet?"
The Boy said "Nothing!" (which is his standard answer when he is being a smart aleck).
So I began to imitate a turkey in the middle of Target. And I didn't just say "gobble gobble". I made full on turkey sounds. Yes, people stared at me. But hey- I was teaching children important life facts here!
Anyway, I actually don't have any turkeys for my fall/Thanksgiving decor, so I snagged this one.
I wasn't in love with it, but I had a vision for it.
I headed over to the Lobby and grabbed some Krylon Glitter Blast spray in gold. (Don't forget to use your 40% off coupon!) A few quick coats and this turkey was transformed.
Love it! It's a perfect addition to my Thanksgiving decorations.
I may be linking this project up this week, as the aforementioned family is moving out and I might just get my "craft room" (slash office slash guest bedroom slash preschool room) back and might have energy to do so.
