Update Your Shoes With Bias Tape! (Making It Work)

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Facebook party!  It was lots of fun to see your creations!  I hope you'll be ready to join us again next month when we "Make It Work"!

My project is something I've been meaning to do for awhile.  I've had the supplies in my stash forever, but I just haven't gotten to it.  (I'm sure you have projects like that too, don't you?)

I have these old, plain black pumps.  I never wear them because they need an update.  Well, here's how easy it is to give them a classy update:

All you need is thin double-fold bias tape.  I chose a contrasting cream color
.

Simply apply fabric glue around the edge of your shoe, then smooth the biast tape into place.  Take it slowly and carefully around curves.

The inside of my bias tape stuck up just a little, so I used a few dots of glue on the inside to help it lay flat Then I tied a small piece of bias tape into a bow and glued it on.  Make sure you put some fray check on the ends.

Now I have a brand new look for my shoes- and it only cost about two dollars!

Have a great weekend, all!
