Thankful Tree

With all the crafting for the home, sometimes I forget to craft for the kids! It's probably been 4 or 5 years since I did this with my kids, and last time I didn't have a Silhouette. I remember hand cutting a tree and leaves. Not so much fun!
This time around I had 3 pages of leaves, a tree and a title, all cut out and put together in an hour!
Here's our Thankful Tree, to which the kids are adding a leaf to each day with something they are thankful for!

Do you have any traditions to help the kids with an attitude of gratitude?

  9. This is such a pretty idea -- I know someone who recently started a thanksgiving project on her wall, and this would be a great idea to share with her.

  10. Oh I love this idea! Last year I made little paper wreaths with the kids and had them write one thing they were thankful on each leaf! It was a lot of fun!

    1. Thanks everyone! It's never too late to start! I have a friend that does it alphabetically starting on November 1st they think of something that starts with the letter "A" that they're grateful for, then "B" on the 2nd, etc. Love it!

    2. Your tile that you made for RS sisters is beautiful. The one with the nativity picture and the words the best gift of all. Is it possible to have you sent me your file so I can try and find someone with a silhouette to cut them for me? My email is lcook762@hotmail.com. Thank you so much!
