Making My Own- Maple Syrup

Here is another GREAT recipe that you can make on your own when you're in a pinch or just wanna save a few bucks: Maple Syrup!

  Homemade Maple Syrup
Mix 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup water in saucepan.
Stirring frequently over medium heat, bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add 1 tsp maple extract and 1 tsp vanilla extract and let cool.
Use a funnel to pour into your preferred syrup bottle (I use the Hungry Jack bottle so it can be microwaved!)
Enjoy!

  1. Who knew? What a great idea! I can't tell you how many times I've made pancakes or waffles and had to run to the store because we were out of syrup! Thank you Laura!

  2. Laura, it's so nice to "meet" you!! Thank you SO much for sharing these at Wicked Good Wednesdays!! What a great idea! I used to make our own syrup, but now can't remember why I ever stopped. Will definitely have to get back to it! Hope to see what you've been up to again next week!
