I volunteered at our school's spring festival on Saturday, though, and even got a bit sunburned on my arms. So, yeah, this Strawberry Cream Pie will hit the spot!
I love this recipe, because it tastes almost like cheescake, even though there is no cream cheese in it. It's cool and refreshing, and I love the homemade glaze in the strawberries.
The original recipe is here at Lemonbasil. Since I didn't come up with it myself or modify it in any way, I'm going to let you click over there and thank her for the recipe. (Really, it's worth the extra click!)
I did cheat by using a refrigerated pie crust, but due to shrinkage I wouldn't recommend it for best results.
Enjoy your pie now, or save it for summer- it's sure to impress at your next gathering, or just for your sweet family!

This looks so good! I make a very good strawberry pie, but it's not a "cream" pie. I might have to try the cream part.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah.. that looks like summer!!! I am ready.
ReplyDeleteDear Valerie, I have spent the day with Marcus and I needed to tell you how much I love you ~ not knowing you but loving you through your wonderful blog. I have it set up on my igoogle reader so the second you post I can see all the wonderful things you are making and see the kids and even see Marcus (the little boy I saw grow into a great man) every now and again. Thank you for all the wonderful things you show me. I then copy and share your ideas with my family ~ I am the official blog watcher for my family. Lark gave me the links to check out. I love and appreciate you. Loretta Swan
ReplyDelete@Criterion Ranch Thanks Loretta! You are really too sweet! I wish I could've been there for the funerals and see everyone, too. I appreciate your support!
