Christmas Decor For Your Kitchen

I love to decorate for Christmas.  I have boxes full of favorite pieces from years past, and I add a piece or two I've made or bought each year.

Our house has a great room, or "open concept" if you watch HGTV, where the living room, eating area, and kitchen all flow from one to another.

It's easy to decorate my living room, but it's taken me awhile to find ways to bring décor into the kitchen.

So, today I'm sharing with you some ideas for bringing Christmas into your kitchen. And, keep reading for a giveaway for your own holiday décor from Jackson & Perkins®!

The first thing I did was decorate my windowsill.  Marquee signs are all the rage, and this Noel sign is perfect for the window.  It lights up with a battery, so there are no ugly cords to deal with.

I included my Stenciled Reindeer Sign as well as a glittered reindeer.

Next to the sink is this lovely woodland-themed Christmas tree from Jackson & Perkins®.

I love everything about this!  I love the bucket and burlap sign.  I love the wood slice ornaments.  I love the cute owls.  I especially love having a live mini-tree.  It's very difficult to keep a live tree fresh here in Arizona, so our main tree is artificial.  Now I can have that lovely evergreen scent in my kitchen all season long!

Next up, I hung some cute Christmas hand towels on my oven.  An easy way to make sure they stay put if you have little hands is to tie a ribbon around the towels.  Then they won't fall off the bar.

The countertops have some fun, festive touches, like a holiday cookie jar,

and a cute cake stand, which makes a perfect place to store your soap, along with these mason jar snow globes a friend gave me.

My husband is making me a farmhouse-style table right now (!!!), so we have a folding table in our eating area.  But when it's done, this tray will be my centerpiece.  I made this with a circle tray, a few bags of pine cones and other natural elements, and two red mason jar-style lanterns.  I threw some mini-ornaments in to hide the gaps.

Finally, I just re-finished my kitchen cabinets, and the dark color is a perfect contrast to these red ribbons and bows  I've been wanting to do this forever, and I love how it turned out.  (Full Kitchen Makeover Reveal coming soon!  You get a sneak peek!)
