Handmade Mother's Day Gift

**disclaimer**
Mom! If you don't want to see your Mother's Day gift, don't read any further! :)
I saw this CUTE sign on Pinterest some months back and just knew I had to make one for my Mom for Mother's Day. It was so easy!
You need:
  • Some sort of board. You can do a wooden plaque, but my sister introduced me to these canvas boards. I bought a set of five 9x12 canvas boards for $7.99 and used a 40% off coupon :)
  • Paint
  • Vinyl
  • Transfer tape or contact paper
  • Silhouette Cameo or Portrait or electronic cutting tool
First I painted my board. The canvas soaks up quite a bit of paint so I definitely did two coats.

Then prepare your words in your software to your liking, or you can click here to download my file. I like the retro look that a lot of these signs have, but i wanted a more modern looking phone. I even edited this image to remove the antenna off the cell phone. Lol.

Cut, remove excess vinyl and use transfer tape to apply to your dry canvas or wooden board.
This is great for Mother's Day, or easy to change to your own liking. Love it!
Check back on Wednesday for our next Silhouette promotion, I'm so excited to share it with you!
