It's time for another round of Craft Lightning! Today I'm here to show you how to turn an old earplug case into a cute little tooth keeper to keep those teeth safe for the Tooth Fairy!
Here's a secret I'll share with you. I snore. Yep- me. The wife. I snore. My husband wears earplugs so we can sleep in the same room, bless his heart. So we have lots of these old earplug cases. Here's how to make one cute:
Remove any labels (mine peeled right off but use a little heat if necessary).
Mod Podge scrap paper that is cut to fit your case.
Add cute tooth clip art. I just print and cut mine but you could get fancy if you want!
Now their teeth won't get lost under the pillow! Even if you have a special pillow, those teeth can get lost! I've even had one fall out of the tooth pocket in her special pillow. This way you the tooth fairy can just grab the canister and leave the money behind!
Be sure to click on the button below to see what my other blogger friends have come up with this month! Thanks for joining me for Craft Lightning!
This is such a clever idea! I would have never thought of anything like this. One of my fears when I was little was that I'd lose a tooth and it would get lost so then the tooth fairy wouldn't get it and give me money haha.
That is very cute! The tooth fairy at my house is the most forgetful old bat (me). Haha. Maybe something like that would help me to remember to do my fairy duties!
This is such a fun idea!!!! The case reminds me of the plastic tube mini M&Ms come in! We might need to up cycle one form the Easter candy that I'm sure will be taking over here soon!
I gave my nephews tooth fairy pillows (they were handmade and personalized: love etsy for that sort of stuff). I remember having a nice pink one of my own as a kid. But I don't remember what I did with it! I hope my parents or I still have it around.
That's a great thought- I bet lots of kids lose teeth at school! (My daughter lost her first at swim class- in the pool- and the second at ballet class!)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I try to answer all valid comments as soon as possible, but you can also email info@occasionallycrafty.com with an urgent question. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteWe actually lost a tooth once. I had to convince my daughter it was okay to write a little note to the tooth fairy and put it under the pillow!
DeleteSuch a cute idea! I've got a couple cousins who will be needing something like this soon for their little ones :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrisy! I appreciate you stopping by!

ReplyDeleteThanks Sagan! It's so easy when you already have something to use.

ReplyDeleteYeah, our tooth fairy is pretty forgetful too ;)! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThis is cute! I haven't decided if I am going to keep my sons teeth or not.
ReplyDeleteI think I kept the first one of each so far. My youngest still hasn't lost at tooth yet. Personally I think they are kind of icky :)
DeleteSuch a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie! Another great round of Craft Lightning- I love seeing everyone's posts!

ReplyDeleteI love tooth fairy pillows. My mom made one for my daughter but the little pouch is all loose and the teeth fall out of it. That's why I made this!
DeleteThis is a great idea! You can decorate these any way possible! You can even personalize each one with your child's name!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! If I'd had more time I totally would have personalized it- great idea!
DeleteThis is adorable! IT would be cute to make for a classroom as well.
