Easy Baby Gift

I haven't posted anything for awhile.  It's not that I'm not crafting- I am.  It's just that everything I have made has been from someone else's blog.  I am seriously suffering from a lack of creativity.  I'm a good copier- just not that great at coming up with things on my own.  That being said, here's something I put together for my sister-in-law, who just had her second baby.

If you have ever used baby washcloths, you may feel like I do:  they are so soft for a baby's skin, but really flimsy.  I decided to try to combine the best of both worlds and make my own.  I used a soft flannel fabric for the front and terry cloth for the back.

A couple of these washcloths, plus some fancy baby soap, and I've got a great gift that's part handmade, part store-bought (but usually appreciated!)

Did I mention my husband's family is very crafty?  The women in the family are all wonderful sewers and very creative people.  I on the other hand, make what I can make, and that's just how it is.

I have some great Christmas crafts to complete.  They might not be my own ideas, but I will post them anyway.  Maybe you will find a link to something you haven't seen before.

If you're visiting from a blog hop- welcome!  Leave me a comment and I'll return the blog visit!

  1. What a cute idea and YOU have been someone else's inspiration today. My niece just had a baby and this would be a wonderful gift to do for her. (Yes..I said my niece which means now I have a great niece but HEY I'm still young..I think..I forget sometimes..hehe) Even with doing something that you saw someplace else it can still be a part of you...it only takes a small change to make a big difference sometimes.

I found your wonderful blog from the Friday blog hop at Design it Chic...so happy I did.

Come and visit me sometimes....I don't mind sharing at all. ^_^
